Listening in 5Rhythms Workshop
with Gramya
5Rhythms is a movement practice that explores five distinct rhythms rooted in the physical, emotional, and energetic body. By dancing through these rhythms again and again—each time to different, original music—we open the door to ongoing discovery on all levels of our being
In Flowing, we connect to our roots. We find the ground beneath our feet, establish presence, and sense who we are from the inside.
In Staccato, we move into clarity, intention, and passion. We practice expressing what we want and how we reach toward the world.
Chaos invites us to let go—of control, of structure, of certainty. Here we learn to stay centered while not knowing.
When we accept this invitation, Lyrical allows us to lighten up. Movement becomes expansive, playful, and ecstatic.
Finally, Stillness brings us home. In the vastness of empty space, we find integration, centering, and healing.
In this workshop we will work on our listening skills.
We are all born with the ability to hear. As children, we quickly learn the difference between hearing and listening. I have yet to meet a mother who does not complain about our tendency to avoid listening. When we resist what we hear, we simply stop listening. It is a basic mechanism.
When we shift this familiar gap—from directing attention outward to turning it inward—we begin to realize that we live in a constant conflict zone.
One voice pushes to the right, another pulls downward. A third asks for help, while another shouts: I’m right, I’m wrong, I’m not worthy, or I’m the best.
These voices are shaped by our upbringing and social conditioning. Most of them operate automatically, generating the inner cacophony we live with. We can ignore them. We can pretend they are not compelling us to live in confusion, tearing us apart or disconnecting us from reality.
Or we can hear them—and choose to listen. The results can be surprising.
We will dance for 3.5 days,6-9 of June 2026.
Day 1-day 3 :2 sessions each day: 10:00 – 1330 and 1530 – 1800.
Day 4 : 1 session from 10:00 – 13:30
Most sessions will have a break.
About Gramya
About 15 years ago, I met Osho`s work and 5rhythms dance, both by chance and around the same time.
Practicing both paths for a while, embodied in me the understanding that there are other ways to be.
At 46 years old, I left the concept of “Success” behind and traveled extensively, figuring out what and who I am above and beyond the limiting believes of being accepted.
Finally settling in a small community in nature, on Lesvos Island where I dance, teach and tend my garden.
For me 5rhythms dance meditation is the art of unveiling the self. All the way from unconscious to consciousness, to remember and embody that we have, only love, in our core.
This is why I dance, this is why I teach.
