The Body as a Gateway

The Body as a Gateway

with Giten Tonkov

Body as a Gateway invites you to become an active participant in your own growth. Through the Biodynamic Breathwork Trauma Release System® (BBTRS®), you will explore how breathing, moving, sounding, and bringing awareness to sensation can help you connect with feelings, recognize patterns of holding, and discover new possibilities for expression.

Body as a Gateway

Five Days of Breath, Movement, and Meditation on the Island of Lesvos

With Giten Tonkov | Osho Afroz, Eresos, Greece. July 21-25, 2027

Breathe more fully. Move with greater freedom. Discover what it feels like to come home to your body.

Join Giten Tonkov for five days of embodied exploration at Osho Afroz, where breathwork, movement, and meditation meet the natural beauty and unhurried rhythm of a Greek island.

An experience you can feel

Each day, guided breathwork journeys and body-based practices will bring together the six elements of BBTRS: breath, movement, touch, sound, conscious emotional expression, and meditation.

You will explore the movement of your breath through your body, notice where you tighten or hold back, and experiment with movements that respond to what you feel. Sound and voice offer another avenue for expression, while conscious touch and partner exercises invite connection, sensitivity, and trust.

At the heart of this exploration is felt sense: learning to notice and follow the body’s sensations as they change. You will practice staying connected to yourself through moments of activation, softness, emotion, and stillness, discovering when to explore further and when to pause and rest.

There is room for energy, movement, and expression, alongside gentleness and quiet. Your own pace, boundaries, and capacity guide your participation.

From movement into meditation

As you become more present in your body, meditation can begin to emerge through direct experience: the feeling of your feet on the ground, the spaciousness after a movement, or the quiet that follows an honest expression.

The retreat unfolds within Afroz’s living meditation environment. Alongside the course, its daily program offers opportunities such as morning OSHO Dynamic Meditation, Vipassana, afternoon OSHO Kundalini Meditation, and the OSHO Evening Meeting. Participation can complement your retreat experience according to the course timetable and your need for rest.

This creates an opportunity to explore awareness throughout the day—in movement and stillness, in connection with others, and in moments alone.

Let the island become part of your experience

Set in the countryside near Eresos, Afroz offers a setting for stepping away from everyday demands. Beyond the meditation space, Lesvos invites you into a world of olive groves, volcanic landscapes, village life, and the Aegean Sea.

In your free time, a swim at nearby Skala Eresos, a quiet walk, or a meal beside the water can become a simple way to reconnect with your senses. Give yourself time to enjoy the island and allow what you experience in the retreat to settle.

For your own growth—and your work with others

You are welcome whether you are exploring breathwork for yourself or already work as a therapist, bodyworker, breathwork facilitator, or meditation teacher.

For personal exploration, the retreat offers opportunities to deepen body awareness, explore emotion, and develop practical ways to stay connected to yourself in daily life.

For practitioners, guided partner exercises, feedback, and dedicated teaching will connect experience with application. You will explore tracking sensation, working sensitively with breath and touch, respecting boundaries, and recognizing when someone needs grounding, space, or a slower pace.
