oin Garuda for a 3-day introductory journey into the art of holistic massage, offered at Osho Afroz this September. This foundational training is designed for beginners as well as those wishing to reconnect with the essence of touch. Drawing on classical Swedish massage techniques alongside a holistic perspective, the workshop introduces the basic strokes and a simple, effective sequence for working with the back, neck, and shoulders.
Beyond technique, the training opens a space for developing presence, intuition, and sensitivity. Touch is approached not only as a skill, but as a form of listening — an attunement to the body and its subtle signals. Participants are invited to explore how intuition can guide the hands, allowing the work to feel less mechanical and more like a natural flow or quiet channeling of awareness and care.
Inspired by the work of Candace Pert and the understanding of the body as a living expression of the subconscious mind, the course explores how touch can support integration and release. The approach is trauma-informed and client-centred, creating a space where safety, sensitivity, and respect are central.
Participants will learn how to:
Apply the right kind of pressure with awareness and responsiveness
Offer touch with tenderness, presence, and loving kindness
Understand the importance of being “held” and how to create that experience for others
Validate and affirm another human being through conscious touch
Set up and maintain a safe, soothing, and supportive environment (scene and setting)
Stay present and grounded, allowing intuition to inform the flow of the massage
The workshop also includes essential knowledge of anatomy and physiology, hygiene, and the practicalities of working sustainably. Attention is given to the practitioner’s own strength, stamina, self-care, and nutrition, ensuring that giving massage remains a nourishing and balanced practice.
This training can stand alone as a complete introduction or serve as a stepping stone toward a more in-depth training in the future.
