Bodywork, Breath & Energetic Release

Bodywork, Breath & Energetic Release

Three Days of Nourishing the Nervous System

with Crystal River Kim

Our daily life is often dominated by overstimulation, tension, and accumulated coping patterns that gradually disconnect us from our natural rhythm. These three days give us an opportunity to slow down, re-center, and listen inward — to the language of the body itself with it's own subtle intelligence.

Together we will learn and explore deep bodywork based on the MER approach, as well as intuitive stretches inspired by qi gong and yogic movement, breath awareness, and gentle unwinding processes that support the body’s own capacity for self-healing – all through guided practice.

We will not only work through layers of muscle and fascia, but also through layers of sensation, emotion, and lived experience. As the body feels supported and safe, the whole body–mind system can gradually settle, soften, and return to a more natural and regulated state.

You do not need any prior experience in bodywork to attend this workshop. However if you are a massage, somatic or body-oriented pratictioner, the unique MER approach will add new understanding and depth to your practice.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have experienced and practiced simple yet effective techniques that can be used as a basis for a professional bodywork session.

What We Will Practice

• guided deep bodywork strokes • myofascial energetic release • myofascial unwinding

• intuitive and supported stretching • breath-based self regulation practice

• partnered practice

The bodywork and strokes are intented to sensitize and connect to felt sense.

The Approach

This workshop is based on Myofascial Energetic Release (MER), developed by Satyarthi Peloquin.

MER is a holistic, trauma-sensitive bodywork method that addresses chronic pain and musculoskeletal imbalance and their link to emotional and nervous system held tension.

The work integrates soft tissue and joint connective tissue manipulation, conscious breathing, myofascial unwinding, assisted stretching, and emotional awareness. Rather than forcing change, it creates conditions in which the organism can reorganize naturally.

Timetable: 9am-1.30pm, 2.30pm-5pm
