The Sufi Path
A sufi workshop with Devo
Once Osho was asked to “give us a road map to on the way to Enlightenment and Liberation”. His answer was that “instead of a map to go somewhere we need a map to come back to the here and now, from wherever we have strayed”. Growth always starts and happens in the here and now”.
We all know that there is no “path” or “way” as such that can lead us somewhere. else. In fact, with the word Path, it is meant the attitude towards Life and everything that bringsacross us by living it.
The greatest contribution of Mevlana Celalledin Rumi to the World of Spirituality is the introduction of the notion “The Beloved” when referring to Existence, the Divine, God etc.
As “melting with Existence” is the main dream and longing of a Sufi, when is seen from this new perspective, everything becomes much more pragmatic and grounded. Existence, the Divine becomes a Lover, a Beloved, something closer to the heart and the human realm. Rumi brought God down to Earth. Everything is much more simple and clear, because from down here we can start our journey to become Gods. The “Beloved” of Rumi is not a punishing, nor a guilt creating God. Like in any other relation we talk, we share, we fight and eventually we surrender and melt with the “Beloved”
To me all the tests that life presents us with, everything positive or negative have one common denominator: to show us what separates us from the state of “Oneness” with the aim of bringing us closer to the Beloved. The more of the Beloved within us, the less of the structure of Ego and Mind in which we are trapped and wrapped in.
In this workshop, beside the Sharings, Zikrs, Whirlings and Silence, we shall explore and look at what separates us from the Divine. We shall look not only for the duration of this workshop, but what happens to us later in our daily life. It is easier to feel the space of melting and Oneness in an environment of Meditation like Afroz, but we need it more for later, after the curtain goes down and we are alone. This workshop opens a space within us, and we shall explore the tools that keeps it open. This helps us more, to stay connected and grow our own roots inside us, and less depending on outside help.

About Devo
Devo (Minas Symeonoglou) was born into a Greek family in Constantinople (today’s Istanbul), and in the late 1960s his family moved to Greece. He studied law at the University of Athens, and then his life took a very different turn.
In the late 1970s he felt a deep inner “call” that led him to Osho. He traveled to India and became one of Osho’s disciples. He lived and worked in Osho’s communes both in Poona and in Oregon, experiences that deeply shaped his path and opened the door to a lifelong journey of inner transformation.
Over the years in Poona, Devo beside working in different schools of Multiversity, he trained in a wide range of spiritual and healing approaches. He became an Osho Neo Reiki teacher, studied Sufism with Swami Videha, and trained in Multidimensional Body Healing and Hara Awareness Massage. More recently, he completed his training in 4D Dream Coaching in Athens.
In recent years feeling yet another “call”, this time from Rumi has been travelling frequently to Konya, central Turkey the place of the Mevlevi Community.
At the heart of his practice is Bhakti — the path of devotion. Devo is largely self-taught and shares what he has lived, not just what he has learned. His workshops are inspired by Osho’s love and teachings and often explore themes like Opening the Heart, Osho Neo Reiki, Sufism, and Inner Child Healing.
Today, Devo lives in Eressos, Lesvos, close to Afroz Meditation Center, where he facilitates meditations and workshops. From there, he continues to share his personal journey, inviting others into deeper self-discovery, presence, and inner growth.
