Tapping into playfulness a 5Rhythms® Movement Meditation Experience

22 - 26 July

“Just look at life with more playful eyes. Don’t be serious. Seriousness becomes like a blindness. Don’t pretend to be a thinker, a philosopher. Just simply be a human being. The whole world is showering its joy on you in so many ways, but you are too serious, you cannot open your heart.” Osho

5Rhythms® Movement Meditation Exploration

During two and a half hours every day over a period of 5 days, we will be using Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms® map to create a place, where we build up trust and become friends with ourselves and others, in order to take a risk to follow our impulses and start to play. Finding open possibilities. What is more than I can imagine with my little mind? Exploring new movements and combinations and maybe letting a little bit more go of our urgent need as an adult to edit and make it all right.

Time for playful constructing, effortless learning by doing, moving with our bodies in the bigger mind and creating new patterns. Using everything we know and when ever we feel, to try something new out. Joining into each other’s movements, taking them on for as long as it feels right and letting them eventually disappear into our childlike being and allow everybody’s uniqueness to shine.

5Rhythms® is a creative movement and dance meditation developed by Gabrielle Roth. Collectively, the five universal qualities of being - flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness - create a wave of energy that allows us to get in touch with our bodies and innermost feelings. It is one way to become aware of our body, heart, mind, soul and breath – to feel alive. Movement by movement we connect with the wisdom of our bodies and unleash creativity and healing power, regardless of our age, shape, gender, or physical endurance level.

We move through the 5Rhyhtms alone, in partners, in community, often with music from various genres and sometimes also without any music.
